From the onset we were impressed with Valda’s professional approach. Prior to the dates, she ensured that Muffin was a suitable candidate and bonded with her lovely well behaved Golden Retrievers. Furthermore Valda requested all of Muffins food, bedding and medical requirements etc.

On the day of dropping Muffin off, she decided to scratch a small growth on her head which then bled and required attention. Not only did Valda treat the wound on a daily basis, but fitted her with an innovative and comfortable noodle collar to prevent a reoccurrence.

Overall Valda treated Muffin in her spotless home, with the same love and care that she would have received at home.

I was on long term business in Somerset West and my little dog, Jerry, 18 years of age, suffered from separation anxiety. I looked for doggy day care and after an unsuccessful sitter, who was very unreliable, I found Valda. Jerry was content to stay with Valda during the day and sometimes at night while I worked. Valda got him to eat, which was a big challenge for me. He sometimes slept in the car on the way to her and I would hand her him, still sleeping. He felt at home and at peace with her. Some mornings he would wait at the front door so excited to go to Doggy Day Care. Valda really spared me a lot of worry, and I would highly recommend her.

My miniature Schnauzer has been staying with Valda whenever I need to go on long trips since I got her as a puppy in 2020. My dog loves staying with Valda as she stays with Valda and her other dogs in her house and always has a few friends to play with. No kennel situation! If weather allows Valda does not only take all the dogs out for a walk at the nearby park but even sometimes take them all out for a walk on the farm. Even when I am on an overseas trip Valda sends a voicemail every other day to let me know how my dog is doing. I can recommend Valda ‘s professional service.

I first met Valda when I took Lilly, my Peke crossbreed, to her for a ‘meet and greet’ many years ago, and since that day, Lilly has been one of Valda’s long-standing, regular and very contented doggy clients.

From the moment Lilly and I entered her spotless home, and viewed her secure, safe and peaceful premises, I knew that this was where I wanted to leave my girl when I was away from home, knowing that I would have complete peace of mind and the assurance that Lilly was receiving – not just basic care – but personalized and one-on-one care, specific to her unique temperament and personality.

Valda established a bond with my dog right from the start, so much so, that Peanut got all excited when she knew Daddy had to go to work and she could spend time at her “doggy crèche with Valda.

She has sincere love for animals and they can sense that they will never feel alone while in her care. Peanut sadly passed away a year ago and Valda mourned, I am sure, just as much as I did.

The first time I met with Valda was when I took our young Jack Russell Puppy Chloe, for a ‘meet and greet’ session at her home. I was impressed from the start with Valda’s knowledge and deep understanding of animals, and it was obvious to even a first-time doggy mom like myself, that she had a unique connection with them.

Being first time dog parents, my husband and I were fairly clueless and Valda’s common sense and very practical advice, was a huge help to us in learning how to manage our very busy puppy, and has paid wonderful dividends now that she is a young mature adult. We opted to let our puppy do training sessions with Valda, and the difference between Chloe – our first Jack Russell, and our new girl, Roxy who has not received any training, is quite remarkable.
